Top 5 performance marketing tools in 2026
Five tools, five approaches to running Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns. We compared platforms, how decisions are made, conversion measurement and pricing, and put the differences in tables.
7 days of PRO free · no cardThere are many campaign tools, and the feature list is rarely what sets them apart. What matters is who decides on a change in the account, and on what basis. Here are five worth knowing in 2026.
Bïrch
Automation rules written by your team, for Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat.
Madgicx
An AI agent for Meta ads with a daily audit and a creative generator.
Opteo
A recommendation queue for Google Ads based on statistics. A multi-channel version is in early access.
Optmyzr
A broad PPC toolset for Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta and LinkedIn.
Phanes
A deterministic expert engine for Google Ads and Meta Ads that starts with measurement and validates every change in the API.
Which platforms each tool supports
"Supports a platform" can mean different things: some tools change campaigns, others only report.

If you run campaigns on Microsoft Ads, Amazon Ads or LinkedIn, Optmyzr has the widest coverage. If your budgets are in Google Ads and Meta Ads, depth on those two matters more than the number of platforms: measurement, learning phases and change validation.
Five tools up close
Each tool has its own approach, and it is worth knowing it before you connect an account.
Bïrch: rules you write yourself
Bïrch, formerly Revealbot, is built around rules. The team sets conditions and actions that the tool checks as often as every 15 minutes on Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat accounts. Birch AI turns a written description into a draft rule to approve, and Bïrch Hub adds server-side tracking for Meta. The price grows with total ad spend.
Madgicx: an AI agent for Meta
Madgicx focuses on Meta. AI Marketer analyzes the account daily and proposes changes you apply in a few clicks, and AI Ad Generator creates creative variations. Google Ads and TikTok appear in One-Click Report, without campaign management. The price depends on Meta ad spend.
Opteo: statistics for Google Ads
Opteo is a queue of Google Ads improvements based on statistically significant patterns, with alerts also on Slack and a 0-100 Scorecard audit. A new version supporting Meta, Microsoft Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn is in early access. Plans depend on the number of accounts and spend.
Optmyzr: the PPC Swiss army knife
Optmyzr is the broadest toolset in this lineup: Rule Engine, no-code scripts, root-cause analysis of metric changes (PPC Investigator) and the Sidekick assistant. It supports Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta and LinkedIn. By default changes go to a preview and need approval.
Phanes: check the numbers first, then decide
Phanes starts from a different question than the other four tools: can the account's numbers be trusted? It does not begin with a user-written rule or an AI model. The measurement verdict combines Google Ads conversions, the GTM container, GA4 and the Meta pixel. On verified data, 315 active expert rules are applied, and a learning layer calibrates them on measured results from your account and many others.
Phanes executes about 115 change types in Google Ads and 34 in Meta Ads through the API, covering everything needed to run campaigns: from extensions, exclusions and bid adjustments, through conversion goals and value rules, to campaign copies, audiences and product catalogs. Every change with a button passes a write validator and a dry run in the Google or Meta API, and the button appears only once there is a validation proof. Then come a diff preview, human approval, verification after execution and 30 days to undo. The interface is in Polish and English, amounts are always in the account currency, and the plan price does not depend on the budget.
Where Phanes does more
A feature list only tells you so much. What matters more is what a tool does when the data is uncertain and a change involves money. In these four areas Phanes goes further than the rest of the lineup.
A measurement verdict from four sources
Google Ads conversions, the GTM container, GA4 and the Meta pixel in one verdict. When measurement is suspect, the engine proposes no conversion-based changes.
Every change validated in the API before you see the button
The button appears only once the change has a validation proof: it passed the write validator and a dry run in the Google or Meta API. You then get a diff preview and approve the change, Phanes verifies it after execution, and you have 30 days to undo it.
315 expert rules instead of guessing
Active rules for Google Ads, Meta Ads and GA4. Every recommendation cites the rule and the numbers behind it. The same data always gives the same result, and Phanes's own language model, Aether, describes it without inventing numbers.
A flat price, no percentage of spend
You pay for a plan, not a share of ad spend. A growing budget does not raise your tool bill.
| Feature | Bïrch | Madgicx | Opteo | Optmyzr | Phanes |

| Conversion measurement diagnostics | Partly | Partly | Partly | Partly | Yes |

| Generating ad copy or creatives | No information | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
- Yes
- Partly
- No
- No information
How to read the table: "no information" means the vendor does not describe the feature in public materials. Phanes has no white-label reports or Slack alerts, and we say so openly. What it does have, and the rest of the lineup does not state, is change validation in the API before approval and undo of an executed change.
What the price depends on
As the budget grows, the pricing model matters more than the starting price. Four of the five tools price by ad spend.
| Tool | Depends on ad spend | Depends on number of accounts | Flat plan price | Trial |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bïrch | yes | No information | no | 14 days |
| Madgicx | yes | yes | no | 7 days |
| Opteo | yes | yes | no | 14 days |
| Optmyzr | yes | yes | no | 14 days |
| Phanes | no | yes | yes | 7 days |
For example, if your ad budget triples, a spend-based model raises your tool bill too. With Phanes it stays the same, because the price depends on the plan, not on the budget.
Which tool for what
- Bïrch, if you want to write your own automation rules for many platforms, including Snapchat.
- Madgicx, if you mainly run Meta and need a creative generator.
- Opteo, if you manage many Google Ads accounts and want one queue of improvements.
- Optmyzr, if you need Microsoft Ads or Amazon Ads and advanced scripts.
- Phanes, if you run Google Ads and Meta Ads and want every recommendation to rest on verified numbers, and every change to be checked, approved and reversible.
Which tool optimizes Google Ads and Meta Ads at the same time?
Bïrch (automation rules), Optmyzr (Optmyzr for Search and for Social) and Phanes (an expert engine with change validation and approval) state that they optimize both platforms. Opteo adds Meta in an early-access version, and Madgicx optimizes Meta while showing Google Ads in reports.
Do campaign tools check whether conversion measurement is correct?
To varying degrees. Opteo has a zero-conversions alert and a tracking section in its audit, Optmyzr checks tracking gaps in its account audit, and Madgicx and Bïrch offer server-side tracking for Meta. Phanes issues one measurement verdict from Google Ads, GTM, GA4 and the Meta pixel and proposes no conversion-based changes while measurement is suspect.
How much do Google Ads and Meta Ads optimization tools cost?
Bïrch, Madgicx, Opteo and Optmyzr price by monthly ad spend, and most also by number of accounts. Phanes has a flat plan price from PLN 699 or EUR 163 net per month, regardless of budget. Phanes PRO is free for 7 days, no card required.
